While Mists of Pandaria already comes packed full of some of the most diverse and expansive World of Warcraft content to date, we're staying true to our goal of delivering new content faster. With that in mind, we're pleased to share that the first major Mists of Pandaria content update, patch 5.1, is well underway.
In fact, our plan is to release a build of patch 5.1 on the Public Test Realms soon so you can experience it for yourself! Initially, the PTR build won't include all of the 5.1 patch content, but here's a glimpse of the major features that are already in the pipeline.
New Features
Pandaria and the War of Conquest
While members of the Horde and the Alliance have been busy exploring the exotic continent of Pandaria, Garrosh and Varian have been gathering their forces in preparation for the struggle to exert the influence of the Horde and the Alliance over these long-lost lands. Players who have quested through Pandaria will see forces of both factions arrive in force on the shores of the unspoiled continent, bringing the tensions between the Horde and the Alliance into sharp focus. New daily quest hubs and faction reputations will be available to adventurers eager to do their part in the brewing conflict.
Brawler's Guild
Underground fighting rings have sprung up in Stormwind and Orgrimmar that will give brawlers a chance to earn bragging rights by testing their solo PvE mettle against some of the toughest creatures found in World of Warcraft. Pet Battles Improvements
Several UI and other improvements will be added to the Pet Battles system, including a way to upgrade the rarity of pets that you've captured.
Item Upgrades
You will be able to spend Valor Points to improve the item level and quality of gear you already own.
The Quest Continues
Wrathion is keenly interested in the conflict exploding between the factions on Pandaria's southern shore. He's sure to have additional tasks for players to complete as they continue their quest for Legendary gear.

The first PvP season of Mists of Pandaria is now underway! Team and Personal Ratings have been reset and players are now able to compete in level-90 Arenas and Rated Battlegrounds for the best PvP gear, items, and titles.

The first Normal difficulty Mists of Pandaria Raid Dungeon is now available: Mogu'shan Vaults. Raid Finder and Heroic difficulties will be available Wednesday, October 10.
Raid Finder will unlock bosses in Mogu'shan Vaults and Heart of Fear over time, and all Mogu'shan Vaults bosses will be unlocked and available Wednesday, October 17. To access the new Raid Finder dungeons, you will need a minimum item level (ilevel) requirement of 463.

For millennia, the continent of Pandaria has remained hidden, veiled from the rest of Azeroth behind a wall of impenetrable mists. Now the fog is lifting just as warships of the Horde and the Alliance clash off the coast of the lost continent. As heroes from both factions venture onto Pandaria's shores to explore its ancient forests and cloud-ringed mountaintops, they soon make contact with the mysterious denizens that dwell there heralding the start of a new era of discovery and conflict for all of Azeroth.
Mists of Pandaria is now live and available in a store near you! Featuring a new playable race (pandaren), a new character class (monk), and an exotic new continent to explore, the new expansion offers a huge variety of content for new and returning players.
Mists of Pandaria is available in a standard edition, Digital Deluxe edition and retail-exclusive Collector's Edition. Once you've upgraded, level-85 characters will automatically receive a quest pointing the way to Pandaria upon logging into the game. Safe voyage, travelers - a new world awaits!

The Battle of Theramore, first of many scenarios coming to World of Warcraft, is a story-changing event that will be available to level-85 characters for this week only - the week leading up to the Mists of Pandaria launch on September 25.
For the duration of the week of September 17-24, level-85 characters will be able to queue up for and participate in the Alliance and Horde versions of the Battle of Theramore with two friends.
After the lifting of the mists, the Battle of Theramore will join all other scenarios as level-90-only content, and everyone - including players who missed it at level 85 - will be able to play through the event.

Join us to celebrate the opening of World of Warcraft's newest lands!
On the night of September 24, Blizzard will celebrate the launch of Mists of Pandaria. Seven official launch events will take place in cities across Europe: Paris, London, Moscow, Cologne, Madrid, Milan and Stockholm.
Attendees will have the chance to meet developers, get their game boxes signed, take part in quizzes and competitions and witness the entertainment unfold as the clock counts down to the game going on sale that night.
